About me:
My name is Gianluigi Ruju.
Also known as EJan.
JanRuju.I am a Milanese artist and artisan.
My creative research stems from a fascination with forgotten matter, with the stories that objects carry with them even after having served their original purpose.
My work is one of industrial archaeology and poetry:
I collect scraps of iron, copper, brass, electrical wires, plastic components.
I observe them, study their forms, layer them, and solder them, giving life to organic and narrative micro-worlds. These assemblages become the "primary sculptures," the archetypes from which everything takes form.
EJan Wearable Sculptures is not a traditional jewelry brand.
It is a project that breaks down the barrier between art and the body.
It transforms sculpture into a tactile and personal experience, into an object to be worn.
Each of my pieces is one-of-a-kind, a small, portable architecture that tells a story of transformation.

The Past Collection: ALIENS RINGS (2000>2024)
The "ALIENS RINGS" collection is my manifesto, the foundational act of this journey.
The Concept: 290 ring-sculptures, unique, numbered, and certified pieces, born from my obsession with the artistic reuse of matter.The Process: Starting from original hand-soldered iron and copper pieces,
I explored the multiplication of the artwork through casting in bronze, brass, and silver.
A severely limited production where each specimen, even though from the same mold, is then worked and finished by hand to make it definitive and unrepeatable.
The Finishes: A palette of finishes ranging from protective cataphoretic coating to gold plating in five colors (White, Yellow, Red, Green, Black), each available in a matte or glossy version.
The result are objects of unmistakable sculptural presence, which combine the raw strength of reclaimed metal with the elegance of a precious finish.
The New Language: The research becomes more bold and refined.
I experiment with new alloys, hybrid resins, and composite materials, pushing the boundaries of what can be considered a "wearable sculpture."
The forms become more complex, sometimes inspired by marine microorganisms, other times by the archaeology of a distant future.
Technique and Craftsmanship: I refine lost-wax casting techniques and introduce digital modeling processes, always keeping the artisan's touch, the manual soldering, the personalized finish that makes each piece unique, at the core. The balance between cutting-edge technology and manual knowledge is the heart of this new phase.
The Common Thread: What links the two collections is the brand's philosophy: the artwork is unique and personal, it must be something you can live with.
Every ring, every necklace, every object in the new collection will be, as always, a one-of-a-kind piece, numbered and accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity, a seal of its value as a work of art.
ALIENS RINGS is a fundamental chapter-collection, which defined my aesthetic language and laid the groundwork for what was to come.

In arte, EJan. JanRuju.
Sono un artista e artigiano milanese. La mia ricerca creativa nasce da una fascinazione per la materia dimenticata, per le storie che gli oggetti portano con sé anche dopo aver assolto al loro scopo originale.
Il mio è un lavoro di archeologia industriale e poetica: raccolgo scarti di ferro, rame, ottone, fili elettrici, componenti di plastica. Li osservo, ne studio le forme, le sovrappongo e le saldo, dando vita a micro-mondi organici e narrativi. Questi assemblaggi diventano le "sculture primarie", gli archetipi da cui tutto prende forma.
EJan Wearable Sculptures non è un brand di gioielleria tradizionale.
È un progetto che abbatte la barriera tra arte e corpo. Trasforma la scultura in un'esperienza tattile e personale, in un oggetto da indossare. Ogni mio pezzo è un pezzo unico, una piccola architettura portatile che racconta una storia di trasformazione.

La Collezione Passata: ALIENS RINGS (2000>2024)
La collezione "ALIENS RINGS" è il mio manifesto, l'atto fondativo di questo percorso.
- Il Concept: 290 anelli-scultura, pezzi unici, numerati e certificati, nati dalla mia ossessione per il riutilizzo artistico della materia.
- Il Processo: Partendo da originali in ferro e rame saldati a mano, ho esplorato la moltiplicazione dell'opera d'arte attraverso la fusione in bronzo, ottone e argento. Una produzione limitatissima dove ogni esemplare, pur proveniente dallo stesso stampo, viene poi lavorato e finito a mano per renderlo definitivo e irripetibile.
- Le Finiture: Una palette di finiture che spazia dalla cataforesi protettiva alle placcature oro in cinque colori (Bianco, Giallo, Rosso, Verde, Nero), ciascuna disponibile in versione opaca o lucida. Il risultato sono oggetti dalla presenza scultorea inequivocabile, che uniscono la forza rude del metallo recuperato all'eleganza di una finitura preziosa.
- Il Nuovo Linguaggio: La ricerca si fa più audace e raffinata. Sperimento con nuove leghe, resine ibride e materiali compositi, spingendo oltre i confini di ciò che può essere considerato un "wearable sculpture". Le forme si fanno più complesse, a volte ispirate a microorganismi marini, altre all'archeologia di un futuro lontano.
- Tecnica e Artigianalità: Affino le tecniche di fusione a cera persa e introduco processi di modellazione digitale, sempre mantenendo al centro il gesto artigianale, la saldatura manuale, la finitura personalizzata che rende ogni pezzo unico. L'equilibrio tra tecnologia d'avanguardia e sapere manuale è il cuore di questa nuova fase.
- Il Fil Rouge: Ciò che lega le due collezioni è la filosofia del brand: l'opera d'arte è unica e personale, deve poter essere vissuta. Ogni anello, ogni collana, ogni oggetto della nuova collezione sarà, come sempre, un pezzo unico, numerato e corredato da Certificato di Autenticità, un sigillo del suo valore di opera d'artista.
ALIENS RINGS è una collezione-capitolo fondamentale, che ha definito il mio linguaggio estetico e ha posto le basi per ciò che sarebbe arrivato dopo.
